VBS

I confess that I have never handled a VBS before. I was worried that I would be in over my head. But the first night turned out ok. I didn't know the movements which everyone picked up on, but other than that, that was about it.

I wonder about the effectiveness of the VBS. Most of the kids when we start doing the songs, are enjoying the movements, and not listening to the words...so is it really that effective? Maybe. I am not so sure.

What I do realize is that you have to set these kids up on a path that will take them towards the Lord. If you don't do it early, for the rest of their lives they may run down the wrong path. Things like this VBS are great in the sense that we are instilling subconciously some of the truths that may come up later in life. It really is God that does the work and not us, because no matter what we do, all we are doing is doing motions with the kids and hanging out with them.
