I was listening to this guy, Matt Maher. Great artist...you probably don't know him, but he wrote the song, "Your Grace is Enough"...Tomlin co-opted it from him.
In any case, He has a song called 'Here and Now' where he talks about being a slave to freedom...it got me thinking about what it meant to be a slave, as everyone really is a slave to something. What does being a slave mean? The dictionary says, "one that is completely subservient to a dominating influence" Completely subservient? no. Dominating influence? Yes. I can say that God and His Word is the dominating influence in my life. Amd I completely subservient about it? I don't think anyone is, except Christ.
Oh yeah. Matt Maher is a Catholic. :) Just goes to show you that being Catholic means that they are completely wrong...;)
