Devo: Daniel 9

What a prayer by Daniel. Daniel, a righteous man is confessing his sin on behalf of the Israel nation. It's pretty cool to read about this and gets me fired up about praying, which I haven't been doing thes past couple weeks with any regularity. Either way, I sense that we are going to be starting up a real prayer ministry, but I just don't know what that is going to look like. Is it going to be a YAM only thing, or is it going to be integrated into the Harvest Prayer ministry. I lean towards thst YAM prayer thing, simply becasue we are focussing on the issues that are dealing with YAM right now, and knowing that there are other resources dedicated to praying for the church as a whole.

In any case, it's awesome to hear that Daniel is praying, not from his own righteousness, but from God's mercy...I never really thought about this, since I always think that the righteous man should be the one who is praying. But again, it isn't our righteoussness that we appeal to, it is to God's mercy that we pray
