7:02

so I ran the Shamrock Shuffle this weekend, and it was a lot of fun. I told my running partner, JS that we should try to run fast and hold on through the race at that pace. We ended up running the first 2 miles at a 7:50 pace until JS had to stop for a while, so I ended up running faster the 2nd half at around 7:30 with the final mile being a 7:02. Looking at the numbers, I left a bit on the table, as I shouldn't have been able to run a 7:02 the final mile if I didn't have anything else in the tank. So I have to learn how to manage the race, especially one like this that is 5 miles long.

Either way, I did my PR, 38:30! (it's a 8k course) I never thought I would do this, let alone get close to breaking my mile record (my mile record is 6:58 and my last mile was 7:02.

otherwise the weekend was pretty packed with parties and obligations. did end up talking with the worker at Grip and my SG and I had some great discussions about the whole thing. it was good. And the food was great! :)
