You know, being ready means not being busy? I found this out last night...I was going to be going home and had a block of time where I was going to do nothing or study, when I got a call from my buddy Dale, who lives in Indianapolis! It had been a long time since I had seen him and we had a great time catching up with him about what is going on in his life and what God's been doing in our lives. He also is growing his family full tilt! 3 kids in less than 3 years...God bless Holly. It was great to be ready for anything, and I'm learning the value of not being busy, which leads to spontaneity.
We ate at this mexican restaurant in downtown Arlington Heights called Fuego, which made their guacamole right in front of you, which was cool...it was so good...yum yum. unfortunately, the menu was confusing and there were tons of things on there that we had no idea so we spent 10 min trying to figure out what we wanted, and at the end, asked the waitress what was best and went with that. I'd recommend it to try as their food was cooked well, but it wasn't a 5 star restaurant at all either. I have to try Adobo Grill, which is similar in the city which I hear is pretty good as well.
The weather here has been crappy and I have been slipping around all over while walking to work and nearly falling 3 times out of the year. I have to salt my porch steps to make sure no one kills themselves while delivering packages/mail/whatever. urhg.
