Intelligence

Intelligence Article

I read this article about fixed intelligence vs. effort or in the article, "helpless versus mastery-oriented". I am definitely on the helpless side of things, as I think that people are naturally smart and they can't do anything about raising their intelligence. I think this affects me in more than just learning, because if something works, then I have this sense of helplessness and frustration because I should have done something different but I couldn't because I'm dumb/slow.

There is so much more hope in the "mastery-orientated" way of thinking, and I have to started teaching myself that and adopting that attitude...can you change your attitude when you are 35? I'll find out. :)
